What a good pen actually does

A pen should write when you pick it up. Not after five seconds of scratching on paper. Not with gaps mid-sentence. Just write.

The Pilot G2 does that. Every time. That sounds like a low bar, but anyone who has had a drawer full of half-working pens knows that it is not.

Gel ink, not ordinary ballpoint ink

The G2 is a gel rollerball, not an ordinary ballpoint. Gel ink flows more smoothly than oil-based ink, meaning less pressure for a clear line. The result is a pen that writes smoothly and tires the hand less during long writing sessions.

The ink dries quickly enough that left-handed writers do not smear it, but not so fast that the tip dries out when the cap is off.

Refillable

The G2 is designed to be refillable. Refills are available at every stationery shop for a few euros. One barrel can last you years.
