Why a screwdriver actually matters

A cheap screwdriver works. Until the tip rounds out, the handle cracks, or you have a blister after an hour of work. With light use you barely notice. With intensive use you notice nothing else.
Felo is a German tool company that has been making screwdrivers for the professional market for decades. The 400 series is their entry line, but for years the standard for installers and electricians who work with screwdrivers all day.
The handle
The Felo 400 handle is the result of ergonomic research. It has a hexagonal cross-section that prevents rolling, combined with a round top you can push on. The two-color coating provides grip without sticking.
The handle has a freely rotating cap on top. When tightening a screw, pushing on the top with one finger while turning with the rest of your hand requires less force. After a day of work it is the difference between tired fingers or not.
The steel
The tip is chrome-vanadium steel, induction hardened. Only the tip is hard while the shaft stays slightly flexible: a tip that stays sharp longer, combined with a shaft that can absorb a knock without breaking.
